Become a Mentor
We appreciate the role of alumni, parents, employers, and other community members in shaping the personal and professional growth of our students. Recent studies on mentorship show it to be among the most transformative experiences of a college student’s career but one of the most underutilized resources. Volunteers for the Ave Maria Mentorship Bench will advise to the best of their knowledge no more than 2 students per semester over the course of 2-3 sessions ranging from 30-60 minutes each.
Mentors will be advised of best practices and expectations. Please review the Mentorship Handbook and prayerfully consider your involvement with Ave Maria University. We review all applications carefully and take into account the mentor’s qualifications, time commitments, and capabilities. We wish to promote a nurturing mentoring environment while providing for the education, safety, and opportunity of our mentees.
